I've dug into this issue to try to get a better backtrace from the
crash. In the process I've determined that this is not a bug in
qtwebkit per se. The crash happens before any calls are made into the
qtwebkit library - the mere act of loading the nvidia libGL and calling
its initializers is enough to trigger the crash. So the only relevant
difference between qtwebkit 2.2.1 and 2.3.0 is that 2.3.0 is linked
against libGL.

It is exceedingly unlikely that anything in skype needs to /use/ the GL-
based functionality of QtWebkit. Consequently, the proposed workaround
to bypass the nvidia libGL by preloading the mesa libGL should be a safe
and effective solution.

** Package changed: qtwebkit-source (Ubuntu Raring) => nvidia-graphics-
drivers-304 (Ubuntu Raring)
