The usage of the xml files to autogenerate the test cases is a recent development in this project, subsequently there are likely a bunch of tests that are not in the xml files.
Having the test case in the canary_desktop_cases.xml file would be best as if there are changes in the next couple of weeks it'll be easier to update the xml file and then generate the test cases.
