Just a quick progress report... I spent the weekend working on the new Capistrano web site. It's not done yet, so I won't announce anything, but it's coming along and I hope to have it "good enough" by tomorrow evening. (*crosses fingers*) I'm a programmer (and not a designer) for a reason, so don't expect anything visually stunning! I'll announce the first set of pre-release gems then, too.
I just want to make everyone aware that the upgrade process from cap1 to cap2 may be bumpy for some folks. Note that cap2 may (very likely) break any third-party Capistrano extensions that you are using. It also has a good chance of breaking your existing recipes if you have done any overriding of the standard tasks. There will be a few pages on the new site that will describe the upgrade process, and point out any gotchas. That said, it's not all doom-and-gloom; cap2 really is worth the effort to upgrade, and the effort required is really not that much. - Jamis --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/capistrano -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
