I fully acknowledge that the docs need work, and it's on my todo list. I can only do so much, unfortunately, and the Net::SSH and Net::SFTP rewrites are consuming all of my free time at the moment.
If you would like to start up an initiative to improve Capistrano's documentation, I certainly won't put up any resistance! There was a wiki (or two) at one point, but I suspect they have fallen into disuse. Feel free to use whatever medium you like for the docs.
