Is subversion installed locally, and in your path? It must be a command-line subversion client, with the executable named (by default) "svn".

Well, subversion is installed and running on my server, and it is on
my path. I can successfully checkout my repository on the server
manually and everything works fine. Any other ideas?

I am trying to deploy my application to my server using cap
deploy:cold. Whenever i run it i get the output that you see below.
On my development machine i am running windows xp, and on my server i
am running gentoo. Any help would be much appreciated.

Seems like svn is not installed on your remote server or not in PATH.
