I'm trying to understand how capistrano makes ssh connections, like
does it use the net-ssh gem or does it use a command line ssh client?

It seems that capistrano uses ssh in two places:

1) capistrano will ssh to the server to perform tasks. Is it using
net-ssh or a command line ssh?

2) If you are using svn+ssh, then the subversion client will use a
command line ssh. In this case, capistrano is not directly invoking
ssh. Is this correct?

My goal is to set up public/private keys to avoid having to type
passwords for each capistrano task. I think I have this set correctly
for #2, but not #1.

If my guess is correct, then capistrano uses two different ssh clients?
