I suppose there is a bad workaround for it:

run "cat > #{filename} <<END
#{data}
END"

Haven't tested this, though, and it's a horrible hack anyway. A better one
might be something akin to the S3 stuff people are doing: Put the files via
some mechanism that's actually reliable, then run a command on the server to
pull them.

That said, 'put' has worked fine for me.
