Jamis,

I tried what you said. Here's the output***********************
git clone git://github.com:<git_username>/ahref.in.git test_git_clone
Initialized empty Git repository in
/home/<server_username>/test_git_clone/.git/
fatal: Unable to look up github.com (port <git_username>) (Servname not
supported for ai_socktype)
***********************
Yeah the problem definitely lies with server & github communication. Any
tips?
Thanks!
