This is the first (and only) line from ruby.sh

export PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH source /etc/profile

I am not too familiar with Linux, but I don't see anything wrong with
this.

Capistrano works on another Linux box I have access to, which is
running ruby 1.8.6, while my CentOS box is running 1.8.5. Could that
be the source of the problem?
