ant, Regrettably we don't support Windows, we have a policy of accepting patches for Windows, but since none of the core team run, or own windows licences we can't investigate problems, if you open a bug report with as much information as you can on our lighthouse page; I'll be more than happy to review it and maybe fix it, it can't be so difficult.
We'd also love to know what environment you are using on Windows XP, using Cygwin, and Putty? -- Lee Hambley Twitter: @leehambley Blog: http://lee.hambley.name/ Working with Rails: http://is.gd/1s5W1 2009/8/21 ant <[email protected]> > > I am working on a windows xp machine and trying to upload to brightbox > using capistrano...after an immense amount of error solving i have > finally got to one i just cant fix... > > It wont create the tar file to upload to the server...i have used > quite a few different tar.exe(including git) and all seem to fail, > even tried to set it to zip instead, but even after holding F5 i see > no tar/zip is being created in the targeted directory...with the > exception to one, GnuWin32 did create the tar, but it was corrupt and > then failed on upload with EOF errors... > > Any ideas or help would be much appreciated...or maybe im even going > in the completely wrong direction and all of this is in vein... > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Capistrano" group.
