Dear Users, I am pleased to announce the Capistrano 2.5.9 preview release; this must be manually installed until such time as I get some feedback from contributors and the list.
If all goes well, I will release this first thing Monday (August 31st) morning. Here's a summary of tickets that have been fixed: - #105 - Add skip_hostfilter option to find_servers() - #103 - Using non-master branch fails with Ruby 1.9 - #96 - Tweak for 1.9 Compatibility - #79 - Capistrano hangs on shell command for many computers - #77 - Copy command doesn't work on Solaris due to tar/gtar - #76 - Invalid Subversion URL - #50 - Configuration Logger Options The full release notes are on Google Groups here: - http://capistrano.googlegroups.com/web/2.5.9-Release-Notes.txt.md Until such time as I get some feedback from the list, you won't find this in Rubyforge - you must install it by downloading the files from here: - http://groups.google.com/group/capistrano/web/capistrano-2.5.9.gem For one of our most important bug fixes we are reliant on a new patch to Net::SSH conceived by Daniel Azuma, improved and applied by Delano Mandelbaum who is now maintaining Net:SSH, for that we must thank them both for their contributions; this has been a real thorn in Capistrano's side. The patch to Net:SSH appears in 2.0.14 and therefore that is the baseline requirement for Capistrano 2.5.9+.
