One of the things I would like is to be able to give git (and git submodule) a --references option. That would basically cache everything in some place. Any old checkout would do, but best if it got blessed in some way. I will remind that I also wrote a deploy via dpkg awhile ago. I found it very useful to make deployments to customers who ran the system behind ugly firewalls that could do HTTP-only, and I had to access via putty from an RDP session... (so no ssh-agent, and certainly no outgoing port-22). -- ] He who is tired of Weird Al is tired of life! | firewalls [ ] Michael Richardson, Sandelman Software Works, Ottawa, ON |net architect[ ] [email protected] http://www.sandelman.ottawa.on.ca/ |device driver[ Kyoto Plus: watch the video <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzx1ycLXQSE> then sign the petition. -- * You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Capistrano" group. * To post to this group, send email to [email protected] * To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/capistrano?hl=en
