Hi all,

I'm looking to start work on a notification framework for Capistrano
and I've been seeing how others do it. GOD
(https://github.com/mojombo/god ) seems to do a good job and has a
nice modular plugable framework and I'm looking to port something
similar to Capistrano.

I've written a few custom "recipes" for triggering mcollective or
getting hosts from Cobbler, however I could really do with some advice
on extending capistrano further.

I'm reasonably new to Ruby so I'm just getting my head around
modules/classes/mixins etc.

Does anyone have a good guide (and I'm happy to be pointed back to
Ruby basics if required!) to all of this or at least some "best
practice" pointers?

Thanks in advance,

Matt
