Rats! It appears that thanks to a typo in my logging code although FMGetFontFamilyTextEncoding was actually returning -50 for the four mystery fonts (Arial, Arial Bold, Times New Roman, and Times New Roman Bold) it wasn’t reported. This explains the odd disparity between the result of using myFontToScript on them vs the other bogus ‘smCyrillic’ fonts. Sorry about that!
