I see that you can pass kHIWindowBitHighResolutionCapable to HIWindowCreate, or
pass kWindowHighResolutionCapableAttribute to CreateNewWindow, but what if you

version of Interface Builder that supports Carbon nibs.

The UI you are looking for is the “Scaling” attribute in the window inspector.
It should be set to “Framework Scaled”.

Duh! There it is. Thanks!

You will also need to set the Info.plist key NSHighResolutionCapable to a
boolean true.

That part I figured out.

Do Carbon high-resolution windows work well enough to be worth the trouble?

Hopefully so; MS Office 2011, BBEdit, DVD Player, Yummy FTP, and probably other
Carbon apps made the effort to adopt high-resolution windows.
