Alternative solution would be to use dynamic load balancing capability in
ESB which is recently improved. You need to set up G-REG cluster and make
ESB as the cluster manager(Group manager).

For the client-side invocations, you can use the LoadbalacingClient in ESB
samples. I've modified it to support sending requests which are belongs to
multiple http sessions. When you invoke the client, you can pass a parameter
to control the number of sessions.
