Product release versions are independent from Carbon versions or even component versions.
Products decide what their next release is, and will be based on a given Carbon platform. I think we should focus on few more patch releases based on 3.0.x branch, while we start on the trunk for 4.0 on a separate thread. Patch releases should focus on open issues in Jira as well as bugs revealed by the samples effort we have been discussing.
