I'm doing the $subject, and planning to do the following changes.
- Possible change of connection pooling implementation to jdbc-pool from
DBCP.
- Ability to provide external data source class for RDBMS, e.g.
oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource.
- XA data source definition support.
- Ability to define other types of data sources, (exposing these through
the DS OSGi service)
- CSV
- Excel
- Google Spreadsheet
- RDF
- Web Data Source
- Remove Synapse Commons dependency.
- Ability to plug-in custom data sources.
At the end, I'm planning to provide a simpler API to access the above data
sources. Can I please know who are currently using the data source component
in their products? ..
