I've evaluated the ESB editor of a pre-release build of wso2-carbon-studio_1.0.14 and see my comments inline.
- Switching between ESB versions 3.x and 4.x works fine. Once we create a config from 3.x then we can switch to 4.x on the fly. However, all the 3.x related artifacts need to be reloaded in order to get the 4.x related features on them. On the other hand, if we create a new artifact after switching, it will automatically gets the 4.x related features. - Newly introduced mediators seems to work fine. (URLRewrite, ConditionalRouter etc.). - As per the thread, the new artifacts like Message Stores/Processors and Templates are not supported. However, still the store and calltemplate mediators are supported by CS. So, for the time being the users need to create those artifacts from web console and they can configure them in mediation flow by using CS. - CS ESB Editor will be fully compliant with ESB 4.x only when it supports the features like Message Stores/Procs and Templates. These are the feature that are heavily used in ESB 4.x to implement various integration patterns. Thanks.
