Hi Sumedha, Thanks for the JIRA, lost site of this one, :). Well, I don't think its hard, since we can simply edit the media type and do a put() call. That should do AFAIU. But, the effects of handlers etc, is an issue. If some one changes media type, he/she is doing it deliberately right, so I believe that the person will be aware of such effects, and we should not treat this in a special way. Cos, we don't know what handlers have been written by users, anyway. May be a warning message (on the GUI - before changing the type), can help.
