Okay I found the reason. There was a change to the aar-services component in version 3.2.2 (r113479). With this change, we should have introduced the 3.2.2 version of the Service Hosting feature. But in the 3.2.2 P2 repository I can only see the 3.2.0 feature.
This is a mistake and a good lesson also. Developers need to update feature versions as and when they do changes to the corresponding component. Due to these mistakes, P2 features functionality is broken all the time. :( Thanks, Sameera.
