It's also handy to note that if you want your emacs environment to
work properly in no-window mode, you should also invoke Emacs.app/
Contents/MacOS/Emacs, but with -nw.

I have an alias in my .profile, like so:

alias emacs='/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs -nw'

for this purpose, and also have symlinked Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/bin/
emacsclient into my path so I can use it as my command-line editor.
