Using do-applescript seems like a great idea. I have tried out the following
(defun raise-emacs-on-aqua() (do-applescript "tell application \"Emacs\" to activate")) Just replace these two lines with the existing three lines starting with (defun raise-emacs... It may take a little while the first time you execute the command, at least it did it for me.
