For Mac users' convenience there is the mac sub-directory and in it  
the script make-package to create a Carbon Emacs. Anyway, it leads to  
the same "success." Since neither the C code base nor the ELisp base  
have improved, it's best to keep a Carbon Emacs 22.1.50. When you've  
lost the old Carbon Emacs, you can in CVS retrieve the code base from  
a particular date to re-create it.
