Zenitani-san, I'm sorry to report this, but there is a real bug! I found it some days ago in GNU Emacs 23.0.60. It is easy to reproduce: • launch it as /Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs -Q -- debug-init & • put (setq search-spaces-regexp t) into *scratch* buffer and press C-j • type C-x d The error reported will be: File `/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/lisp/dired.elc' was not compiled in Emacs Similiar results can be obtained with (instead of dired): C-h l M-x shell RET M-x eshell RET M-x calendar RET The bug can be viewed here: http://emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com/cgi-bin/ bugreport.cgi?bug=112. In recent GNU Emacs 23.0.60 it is already cured by Chong Yidong, who'll also receive a message on this finding. -- Greetings Pete There's no place like 127.0.0.1 – origin unknown --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Carbon Emacs User Group http://groups.google.com/group/carbon-emacs?hl=en -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
