Sorry, I might not have explained it well. I made another video, http://www.cs.rpi.edu/~tayloj/BUGS/emacs-keyboard2.mov in which the OS X input method is initially US. I then start Emacs, and open ~/.emacs, to show that it contains (set-keyboard-coding- system 'utf-8). Then, in a scratch buffer, pressing C-\ switches the / OS X/ input method to US Extended. Then I use C-x RET C-\ to select another input method (Greek) within Emacs, and confirm that Greek input works, then using C-\ brings me back into an English mode, and C- \ continues to toggle between the two, but with no effect on the OS X current keyboard/input. //JT --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Carbon Emacs User Group http://groups.google.com/group/carbon-emacs?hl=en -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
