I have discovered and interested club and have had LOTS of CW fun. It is the SKCC, Straight Key Century Club. I am member number 1325. Members of this club (more than a thousand) hang out mainly in the novice CW sub bands and jump at a chance to work people. I have called CQ on their suggested frequencies and even had mini pile-ups come back to me This while sending at 10 WPM. You don't have to be a SKCC member but getting a membership number and adding "CQ SKCC" to your CQ sparks a lot of interest since they guys are trying to collect the SKCC numbers for various awards. You don't HAVE to have a straight key for general CW rag-chews but they do suggest them for SKCC number exchanges. I used by iambic keyer in "bug" mode initially, that is acceptable. However I dug out my straight key from the garage and used it this weekend.

I have had really good luck on 7120 in the day time and 3720 at night. I worked several guys on 14048 too.
