Hello,

Today i did the first reactivations of the old care2x.de resources.
Example:
http://www.care2x.de/care2x-cd/index_en.html
The fact is that care2x.de is running now only typo3 at the webspace.

So short to explain the structure.

Care2x.de
server-location: web3/html/ -typo3 file or folder
                                  -typo3 file or folder
~typo3 symbolic link to image magic
                                  ~typo3 symbolic link to documents
~symbolic link to eg. the old care2x
                                   resources -> web9/html/ ->care2x-cd
                                  -typo3 file or folder

Old Care2x resources
server-location: web9/html/ -care2x-cd/
                                  -old care2x homepage for historical
                                   view of the project
                                   care/
                                  -foundry/demo of care2x

With this flexibility we can arrange that no old data are lost. Old
projects that get new information are browsable.
We have no forwarders and search engines are not forgotten.

Another example is a symlink to the API
http://www.care2x.de/care_api/index.html

the same login and passwords as before for others are possible at
web9.
If i forgot something or someone have problems to login than let me
know

The reason why i adminstrate it now in this way is that nearly
everyone who needs access can have it. There is no security problem
with login data and to give access, because the real webspace where
someone have access is somewhere. All can be done with symbolic links.

Did other SysAdmins have some sugestions for improvements?
