Hi,

that seems very odd..  Pls. try to determine which is the probable cause of 
the problem, the db itself or the install script.

Type http://yourhost/modules/phpmyadmin/  and try to create the db manually by 
loading the proper dump scripts. Note: use the scripts under "manual" 
subdirectory.
