I'm currently looking at installing Care 2X for the first time in a hospital in Kenya. We picked Care2X because it seems to meet almost all our needs perfectly and is also free of charge. My primary concern, is that is lacks complex patient demographics. In Kenya, it is quite difficult to track people so the hospital that I am working with has developed a quite detailed patient demographics recording system. Ideally, we'd like to transfer these record fields over to Care2X. Upon examination, I suspect that this will require adding columns to the databases as well as modifying the person module and other related sections. I'd like to get some feedback from developers who have more familiarity with Care2X and figure out if this is indeed the appropriate approach and also maybe get some more advice on exactly how I should go about doing this. I have knowledge of PHP and MySQL so I can probably implement the necessary functions on my own but if anyone can help me in this task their aid would be appreciated.
