The question is: Should Care2x be aimed at providing the best and most reliable Hospital Information System that an open source community can build, or should it be a permanent fire brigade trying to catch all latest fires/buzzwords ?
Look what happened when the Care2x project was fragmented in Care2x-His Care2x-PM and HXP.
Did it got better in any way?
Did you saw a clear and distinct personality for the newborns?
What happened to the glory that it was supposed to give to the team leader?
The value of a HIS software is largely independent of the marketing efforts.
At this level of software complexity, the software packs are analyzed, tested and chosen by highly experient and educated persons. Most of the time they have been for years in this branch of business. It is not easy to fool them with quick cosmetic maneuvers.
