Hi Robert,
This workflow is very well suited for indian clinic/small hospital setting. Would like to hear when the stable version is out.

Also, the download seems to be missing the install file, or the sql files needed for running this locally. Please advise.

Hello Pradeep,

there is an development branch on sourceforge.net for us. It´s called
"elc_tanzania-0-2". But I´m waiting for that till we have reached the next
"stable" status in some days. What you can find there is quite some weeks
old.

Yes, we have changed quite a lot in the care2x. Especially in the so called
"work flow". In EastAfrican Hospitals there is always this simple workflow:
Patient comming to the hospital. Going to the reception. Going to the
billing officer, payinig his fee. Going to the doctor. Doctor is e.g.
prescribing something. Patient going to the billing officer again, should
pay for the pharmacy. Patient is now going to the pharmacy, pharmacists see
on his schreen that patient had paid for that. Pharmacist gives him the
drug.
This is one of the simplest work flow what we have worked out and covered by
our care2x right now. But this work flow is not an process in western
hospitals.

Here you can download a zip-file of the last stble version what we have:
http://health.elct.org/care2x/install/care2002_tz_mero.zip

It´s quite zipped php files. We made also some modifications to the
database...

I have no idea how the hospital<->patient process is in India. But I assume
that it is quite the same like in EastAfrica. Do you have skype? If you want
we can have a session there to find out what you need and our version can
fit. We have some smaller tasks to do, when you can use this version we
have, you can also give us your helping hand to fix these smaller issues
(e.g. some back-buttons redirecting to wrong places).

Robert

Hi Robert,
We are trying to implement care2x in a govt hospital
in india. I have downloaded the care2x but it looks
different than from the one in health.elct.org/care2x.
Appreciate if you could tell me where i can find the
source code for the demo link you had given (i.e. with
billing , pharmacy and lab).

Thanks
Pradeep

Hello David,

yes, were working on several modifications as
Mauri
Niemi explained in his
emails. For the moment I use the time over Eastern
to make the reporting
module perfect. This will e.g. report an OPD
summary, clinic summary (how
many patients, <5, >5, male, female, given
diagnistcis....) and some other
reports.
Also we integrated an ICD10 diagnostic module. The
laboratory module is in
our version completely based on an build-in content
management systen, that
every hospital can bring its own available tests
into the system.
Last but not least: billing. The main billing module
is finished. Were
working now on an additionally feature that also
payments can be covered by
insurance - if available.
Next on our list are the inventory and stock module.
This is planned to go
hand-in-hand to our pharmacy and prescription
module. These are also new
developments what weve done so far in this
secotor.
For the moment you can see an version on
health.elct.org/care2x. There are
not the latest implementations there. After Eastern
we have covered nearly
all and will also make an update to our pilot clinic
in Arusha/Tanzania
where the system is running since more than one
year.

If you want more informations you can contact me.
When we have the first
stable version (right after Easter) we will make an
update to our brach in
sourceforge.net. You can also have an zip file for
downlaod. Tell me what
way you want to prefere.

Main idea of our modifications are that were not
developing an system that
standing beside care2x and just looking to the
database of care2x but dont
care more about. The current ecombill in the main
branch what you can find
is an good example what is not good (Reason in the
process idea: Why should
give the price informations of each service again
when a doctor still make
notes by the patient visit and the system should
gave this informations...).
Were opening the system and making the
modifications on the modules what is
given to the main system. This will provide you more
aspects of an long term
of maintanance. Maybe some modules can be used in
the main development, but
this should deceided by others here in the developer
list. We have just
implementet what the real world in Arusha Tanzania
gave us as basic
requirements to an HIS. This is might be different
to European countries.

By the way, where you from?

Robert

Betreff: [SPAM] [Care2002-developers] Inventory
and Care2x
Hello,

I am looking at implementing Care2x on a new 500
bed hospital project.
It seems to me that inventory is largely absent
from Care2x.
What are other people using for their inventory
needs?
Is anyone currently doing any inventory related
development for care2x.
Regards,

David Aitken
