Hello Meir, Yes, the project is alive. Unfortunately, we have some problems with the hosting of the main site of the project. The demo site [1] and the wiki page [2] are currently, but Elpidio Latorilla is working on the issue and we will have them again working soon.
The main documentation source is the wiki page [2], but it is currently down. Alternatively, you can use the help pages that come with the installation (/help directory). I forward also your mail to the care2x mailing list (Cc) where you can get additional help.
