Hello All,

I want to introduce shortly our drug/service request module, which we have
developed. The
module was originally planned for drug prescription, but I liked the way it was
working and we
added there other services given by the hospital, for which the patient is
paying. It is linked to
billing module.
Now we have there drugs, x-rays, operations, registration etc items. You can
link to it from
different modules because in different hospitals the system is used in
different ways. Under
billing module the link is from Drug and other services request, and in
Pharmacy it is Drug
prescription and doctors office (outpatient) it is Prescription.
Enter new record gives the selection options. The icons show different
categories. From
drugs we have some subcategories because the total list is very long and
different specialties
use commonly different drugs. This makes the selection list shorter and faster.
Next step is to select total dose of drugs and give short information how it
will be used. For
those items that normally are chosed only 1 (like x-ray, operation) the system
preselects total
1 and you can press only Send. then it links to billing module.

The items can be administered in My product catalogue. What could be developed
here is to
make the items dynamic, so that different groups could be created and deleted
by the user
according to his needs. But this is usefull in any setting where patients are
paying for different
services item by item.
