Hello Lydia,

 

tmp folders under linux and unix should be writable to all users and
services. Have you got activated some security tools like Novell's AppAmor
for opensuse? In these hard cases, change in a shell to the user what apache
is using. In my system it will be "wwwrun", you can take a view to
/etc/passwd to be sure.

(as root: )

su wwwrun

cd /tmp

touch testfile.whatever

Is that possible for this apache-user?

Hi lydia, 

            you should try adding writting permission to /tmp. use this
command :

      chmod 777 /tmp 

 i guess that will help.
