I agree, to open the application in a pop up the once and only possibility when there is AJAX working. I like AJAX development - that rocks! But to install plug-in-stuff to browsers as requirement that care3x can be run - No, I would not agree... But on the other hand: What is really the benefit by using AJAX? For the moment I see just possible system critical behaviours and no advantage... It would be a high price to pay for having the satisfaction to use the latest, but not "real world" proved technology on application layer. If we use it, then we should use it on non critical areas. > I don't know, is Care2x only usable with Internet Explorer yet? I never had issues by using firefox.... why you are asking that? > To the topic 3th generation and php5: > myCare2x - I think some of you know it - is already running on php5 as i > know (I studied at the Hochschule Ulm and there I got in contact with it). I really do not know what I should think about myCare2x. The official website of mycare2x is full of marketing slogans that it is based on open source but there is no public download and no significant signal that they are willing to share the sources. In my eyes "myCare2x" had never anything to do with OpenSource or the ideas of GPL and could be an interesting issue for the open source foundation - it is one more example how to get open source developments to cover own proprietary commercial interests. Better to make a clear signal that this product called mycare2x IS NOT care2x and we have nothing to do with it! I do not believe that it is running on PHP 5. I will not publish here some hints how to scan servers... but the official demo site is running PHP 4.4.4 on a windows platform. And some risky server settings what is recommended for current care2x. > Maybe it is easier and faster to look on that code and import parts of it > in Care2x. Let me be little bit using "Bavarian/Swabian" directness without using diplomatic paraphrase: No way! .... to cooperate with this kind of stolen software is a kind of getting addicted to a company who has misused open source and breaking laws.
