Hello all,
Claudio published some days ago the results of the survey.
We should go one step further; we decided a framework and a strategy. But we
cannot start without strategy and plan that would be chaos. Chaos is well
defined and also a well known issue of programming - especially on open
source. Chaos has also benefits, what should be considered:
The synthesis of chaos, that is what open source makes successful. The
synthesis of chaos has also a life circle and can be described with a
successful topic: Extreme Programming
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extreme_programming)
Before we fall into deeply abstract thinking ideas and nothing will
continue, let's start with KISS (Keep it small and simple). There seems to
be some ideas on the survey what we should discuss. Out of this discussion
we could see a red line what brings us back to reality. Reality is when
something is available on the repository what could be discussed further.
Reality is when there are mistakes; reality is when there is a vision and a
solution.
If there is anybody who is interested into these developments and still not
having some developer account on sourceforge.net for getting source code,
please inform Claudio about these circumstances. I'm sure that this will be
created fast and without any bureaucratic circumstances.
Let's first focus us (my opinion and starting point for a discussion) of
following topics:
==> Installation manual (server side and client side) of decided
framework
==> Using http://www.care2x.org/wiki/ for following documentations:
o Manuals for:
* How to use SVN (subversion)
* eclipse
* windows
* .on a shell
o Principles,_Policies_and_Guidelines
* What makes sense what not
Aim: To define for the next weeks a basis of development as madder of
principle.
Claudio, is there a way to make the wiki of care2x editable? For the moment
there is no way of editing the files?
Then there would be soon the next, also quite interesting step: The
requirement analysis. And we will find us knee-deep on a topic what you can
find on the top of my posting: extreme programming.
What do you think?
