Hi Dr. Kamphuis,

The coordinates in the ID window reflect the coordinate space of the primary fiducial surface that is currently loaded. Are you using one of our atlases (e.g., the colin atlas)? If so, this atlas is available in four spaces (711-2B, AFNI, SPM2, and SPM99). So if you have the SPM2 fiducial coordinate file loaded, then your coordinates are in avg152T1 space (the atlas target used for warping the surface coordinates). These coordinates should be consistent (i.e., be in the same space) as the corresponding left and right cerebral hemisphere fiducial surfaces for Colin in SPM2 space.

If you're not using colin, but rather some other cerebellar surface, then I will need more information to understand the relationship between the cerebellar and cerebral coordinate spaces.

Hello,

Is there a possibility to convert to coordinates given in the Identify Window (Main Window Fiducial XYZ) of a Cerebellum surface to the coordinates given in the Identify Window of a Cerebral surface? As far as I understand are the latter TAL coordinates, but I don't understand the coordinates given in the ID Window of a Cerebellum surface.

Thanks a lot!

Dear Donna,

Thank you, that was very helpfull (I mixed up the 711-2B and the SPM2 spaces). Now, I am using the fiducial surface for Colin in SPM2 space. When I want to map stereotaxic Foci onto this surface, do I have to give the position in mm MNI or mm TAL?

Thanks again,
Simone
