Hi,

"flat_fluid" is an external program that performs the flat deformation and is located in your caret distribution's "bin" directory. "arch.deform.dat" is an output file of flat_fluid that Caret reads to get the results of the deformation. Are there any error messages in the terminal window from flat_fluid? flat_fluid is not a very robust program and will fail if the source and target surfaces are not reasonably aligned (in a similar coordinate range with little rotation).

Hi,
When attempting to deform an individual macaque brain to the f99 atlas I
keep recieving an error accessing arch.deform.dat which it says is an
ouput of flat_fluid. I was wondering where in the stream is flat_fluid
run(so I know where to rerun my analysis) and if there are an likely
sources of errors to this file. Thank you for your help,
