Sofia, When you installed caret v5.6, did you install the full distribution or just the executable? The borders listed on the flattening dialog are contained in files located in the caret distribution's "data_files/ flatten_borders". If you did not get the full distribution, try downloading and using it.
Another possibility is that you have the CARET5_HOME environment variable set.
