on the flat map, you can click on the four corners you want, and write
down the XY
coordinates, then goto Layers -> Borders -> Create Cartesian Flat Grid
Borders and
type in the outer limits to make the 'patch' over the part of cortex you
want, then
project to the fiducial of your choice and save the fiducial border file,
then
extract the coordinates with a text editor of your choice.

for the spherical, click on the corners, then switch to the spherical
view, rotate
the sphere so your looking at your patch straight on, then goto Surface ->
Transform
-> Apply Current View, then Surface -> Project to Plane -> Positive Z,
then Create
Cartesian Flat Grid Borders as above...

Note, this is from memory, and I have been in clinics for awhile and
haven't done
this myself in some time, but that should be about right, or close to
it... I have a
tutorial video on file with the Petersen Lab somewhere...
