It depends. Sequoia currently fully support MySQL applications written in Java thanks to its JDBC driver. However the sequoia driver/libraries for applications written in C (like PHP for instance) are still under development, check http://carob.continuent.org/ Please note that libmysequoia (designed for and tested with PHP) is currently in final testing stages and should be ready in a couple of weeks. Please discuss this on the carob mailing list. You could also use some awkward PHP -> JDBC bridging solution but we do not recommend that. > Anybody here tried it on a live site with reusing the same hardware > without downtime? You need at least (but no more than) a couple of minutes downtime: the time needed to reconfigure your PHP server to redirect its queries through sequoia. Cheers, Marc. _______________________________________________ Carob mailing list [email protected] https://forge.continuent.org/mailman/listinfo/carob
