Nope, lets wait Sequoia 2.8 release and we can make the first entry in the compatibility table. You can call it carob-1.0-alpha or carob-1.0-beta or as you want. But if you are not reluctant with this than lets forget this email thread until carob-1.0 will be ready (until this we can have carob 0.6, 0.7...) and only after that as Carob 1.0 has released we can take care for ABI compatibility etc...

Quoting the APR guide:
" It is important to note that a library that has not reached 1.0.0 is not subject to the guidelines described in this document. Before a 1.0 release (version 0.x.y), the API can and will be changing freely, without regard to the restrictions detailed below."
