On the other hand the carob + libmysequoia libraries have been
extensively tested and are production ready. The main purpose of the
libmysequoia library is precisely to allow the use of sequoia from
PHP, and libmysequoia has been tested using PHP (among others). Could
you give it a try instead of odbsequoia?
No, it's a postgresql backend, so the libmysequoia libraries aren't much
use to us. The problem we are trying to solve is the bottleneck on our
main postgresql database, which is accessed from PHP. We had to move
from MySQL as it wasnt scaling as well as we needed and was struggling
under the load.
To begin with, which ODBC driver manager are you using?
unixODBC.
Are you involved in, or know much about the commercial Continuent
projects? Do you know if it contains a better solution - does it have an
ODBC API or is it specifically just JDBC to the client?
