Here is an another possible solution: use libmysequoia from http://carob.continuent.org/LibMySequoia And the steps are: 1. install the libmysequoia rpm or deb package 2. start the demo-raidb1.sh from the sequoia demo directory 3. in the attachment you can find a sample perl program. Run it as LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libmysequoia.so perl testperl-mysql.pl (Debian) LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/mysequoia/libmysequoia.so perl testperl-mysql.pl (Redhat, CentOS, SuSE) libmysequoia must work (in theory) with any backend not only with MySQL.
