For info, I will soon work on Voxin, an easily installable add-on which provides yet another text-to-speech for blind users of GNU/Linux. Voxin will include the IBM Viavoice TTS and several pre-compiled LGPL speech drivers. The user will have to accept a license: for example, Viavoice must be used with the software components expected by Voxin, on the user's computer and for its own use. Oralux.org, a not-for-profit association, will sell Voxin online at low cost (no financial benefit). Voxin will be compliant with major distros such as Debian or Ubuntu. Pour info, je vais bientôt travailler sur Voxin, une solution facilement installable offrant une synthèse vocale de plus aux utilisateurs non-voyants de GNU/Linux. Voxin contiendra la synthèse vocale IBM Viavoice et des pilotes LGPL précompilés.
