by default, the extent used is the one in the mapfile. Simply
by sure to have correct values there, and remove the
mapInfo.initialMapStates.default.location.bbox from your myproj.ini.
same for the other values, such as min and maxscale. Remove
the reference in the ini file, the values of the mapfile will be
used
Also, be sure to clean all the .ini files of the demo from all
unnecessary parameter, as these could cause errors (such as references to non
existing layers, wrong bbox, ...)

I've restarted with a fresh installation. I've
only imported my data in the demo, and rewritten some files as
myproj.ini, myproject.map, layers.ini, and so on, only to view my data in the
demo layout.
When I've imported my data the first time, I remember
that I got the same problem, and I solved it by changing the
location.ini in server_conf.
Now, I 'm not be able to do so. Let's
suppose , I'm not good at writing the parameters in location.ini, what
could be a right formula between Extends and minscale and maxscale, are there
other params which can affect it ? the reference parameters could affect
that ?
As soon as I have to do a demo, and I'm a bit
scared.
What can I do ? is there a debug mode to see what I'm moving to
mapserver ?

Hi Giuseppe,
You should be careful when modifying the template, as
missing elements may cause the dhtml to fail. Review in details the
_javascript_ error that appear in your brower.
Especially concerning tabs, if you remove some, be sure to
renumber them, to avoid gape in the numbering.

Hi all,
After performing some changes (adding
Italy language, changing mapsize, deleting some tab ) to taylor the layout
I can't use both zoom in and out, and outline tools. I've
restarted everything, reinslalled cartoweb, deleted old project and build
up my new one.
I can display and perfom panning but no zoom :the map I
see is always the same (no error message) if I use the tools I get an
error, this is the least becouse I actually need to zoom in and out as
well, what's wrong ?
If I change the minscale or maxscale, in
server_conf\location.ini file , I can see a portion of map according to
the scale but no zoom yet. The arrows keys work
fine.
