if the sh test case fail, it means the problem is outside of cartoweb or even php. did you follow all the instructions from http://www.cartoweb.org/doc_head/docbook/xhtml/user.i18n.html#user.i18n.translations.config ? the sh script tries to access gettext directly, check that your locals are configured correctly.

Oliver

Subject: [Cartoweb-users] gettext problem

Hi!

i have problems getting the tranlation to work!
I'm using Cartoweb 3.2 on a debian sarge with php5 and gettext
installed(both are debian packages)
testing the gettext-installation fails in both cases (php an sh)
although the gettext-extension in php is enabled!
i also created some symlinks for en,de,fr and added those to locale.gen
and locale.alias without results.
then i copied the block.t.php file from the smarty-gettext project into
the smarty-plugin directory...

is there anything i missed to do?

best regards
Peter Weiland
