if you installed FireFox's Firebug extension, you can activate "Show
XmlHTTPRequest" in the option menu on the right, then, when you type
something in the Locate input, you can see the request Post and Response in
the console tab of Firebug. This should allow you to see what request is
being done and the result returned from php.
I installed the demo locally and also had no result till I notice via
Firebug I wasnt using the right login/pass for the db.

Hi Oliver,
if I understand the locate plugin right, it should show a list of items
for autocompetition. So far, I can confirm, that the plugin sends the
query to the database, but the list does not appear. There are no errors
on the database side. I walked through the JavaScript code with a
debugger, but I was not very successful until now.

as far as I know the only effect is a recenter on an object IF that
object was found, thats all.

Hallo,
I tried to use the locate plugin. Until now, I did everything mentioned
in the documentation. AJAX is working so far. The plugin sends queries
to the database and the result set is not empty. However, nothing is
displayed in the GUI. Is there anything else that has to be configured?
