There already is a .Net CAS client... It integrates well with ASP .Net and
also with other applications using proxy tickets.

If you find it to be inadequate for your needs then it might be worth using as
a starting point for further development.

Cheers

Marvin (or is it just M?),

I'm very interested in collaboration. My goal is to create a
community supported open source JASIG .Net CAS client that has feature
and quality parity with JASIG Java Client and excellent integration
into ASP.NET framework. Ideally one could take an existing Forms
Authentication app, drop a dll and a couple of Web.conf settings and
be good to go. Michael Barton (Princeton) has demonstrated a .Net CAS
client that integrates very nicely with ASP.NET framework and has also
expressed interest.

Servlet Filters map pretty well to ASP.NET HttpModules, and I trust
Scott's design instincts, so my current approach is a pretty straight
forward port of the class hierarchy. I've got a long history with CAS
and Java, however I'm relatively new to .Net and C#, so I'm tracking
down a lot as I go. I've got about 15 hours into the port and a
handful of interfaces and classes. It would be really great to work
with someone who has some deeper experience on the C# side.

Thoughts on how we should proceed? I'm happy to check in what I've
got to the JASIG SVN. I've also thought about using CodePlex in order
to reach more .Net folks.
